Is this FRFR speaker good? FRIEDMAN ASM-12

  • Hi Everyone. I'm finally dipping my feet into getting a FRFR for my KEMPER. Currently I'm thinking of this one......

Does anyone have this speaker? If so what are your thoughts? I have a non powered Kemper but this speaker is active so I assume I do not have to buy an external Power amp, correct? Just hook my Kemper into it and jam.

Anyone else have any other FRFR speaker recommendations? I already know about the CLR Atomic. Right now though I'm leaning towards the Friedman.

    Thanks!

  • I have the Asm-12. I can't recommend it enough. The Kemper sounds like a tube amp through a traditional guitar cabinet. I also have the Atomic Reactor 112 and the Friedman demolishes it every way possible. I'm pretty sure you'll be more than satisfied with the Friedman.

yea no need for any sort of power amp. All you do is connect the Kemper to the Friedman and you are ready to play. It is a bit on the heavy side weight wise, and it's awkward to carry. The strange thing is the handle is on the bottom of the monitor but I can't see using that to carry anyways.

  • Sounds awesome! I cant wait to get the Friedman. It sounds like I'm really going to love it and it's going to bring a whole new level of greatness to my Kemper. What kind of cable do I need to connect it to my KPA? Thanks

  • Just a standard Mic cable.
