Hello guys, I'm a totally new Kemper lover!

Hello guys, I just got a sexy white toaster yesterday and after plugged in my Sony MDR7506 and my trusty hand-made tele style guitar I was completely blown away!

I feel happy to have made this step: sold my Two Rock combo amp for this whole new experience.
Any suggestion for starting this cool trip in a good way? I'm just browsing and trying different presets and I feel pretty happy, but there is too much stuff... Any particular very good stock profile to try and compare with the others?

I'm a mac user and my aim is mainly using it for recording, but I would love to live gigging with it!

To get a really good start:

read the Basics Manual
read the Reference Manual
---repeat as needed ( and use the Search function in your PDF reader to get to specific topics when you need them)

You will get many suggestions for "the best" commercial profiles. Before you spend money on them, there are great sounds in the Rigs that came with you KPA, and some free Download Packs from the Support pages on the main website.

Unless you you want to treat the rig like presets, give yourself a chance to get familiar with how the KPA works, and how it can be tweaked to get the musical results you need, instead of downloading 10,000 profiles you will never have the time to hear.

Totally agree. I don't want to spend too much time downloading tons of profiles... and try them!!! I would like first to understand the kemper concept and how to make it work nicely. The way it is first.

Its very helpfull to read this as beginner (and even more experienced)

I think the Kemper needs to be understood well, orherwise it will be used only a tiny portion of its power... All my producer friends have been talking to me about it for a while... Really need to dive into it!

Just downloaded the tutorial and started reading it... good stuff!! Gianfranco is very knowledgeable, I used to read his columns on an Italian magazine for guitarist... and I own one of his books as well... Actually I used to write for the same magazine at the beginning of my musical path...
