Bluetooth Receiver

Cool thing but how is this different from other bluetooth receivers?
-
It´s YAMAHA branded.

It´s YAMAHA branded.
That surely means it's more professional. -
Yeah, I was surprised that Yamaha was marketing it ...
-
Be careful with this...if I read correctly it is a digital output specifically for use with Yamaha receivers. Not an analog out put.

Bluetooth latency makes it totally unsuited for playing in my experience anyway...

True, but this one (like other devices I've seen and BTW use myself) is marketed for streaming audio from a smartphone to a reveiver/ amplifier. And this works well.

Exactly
Although bluetooth headphones still work like .... uh, feces, in my experience.

Anyone have experience with Wireless MIDI latency?
I, in theory, would like to move my YAMAHA (lol) MIDI Keyboard somewhere it doesn't have to be attached to my studio desk (where I port it to a MOTIF Rack)
I lose the ability to Browse, but I get more space in the middle of the room. always a tradeoff. IF the Latency is OK.
Sorry if this is too OT, Zappledan. You can admonish me!

Nah, this thread won't make the top 10 anyway ... -
With enough seed money, I can keep this thread going as long as I (and the forum) exist!

Bought one of these and there was a very tiny but acceptable lag for playing keys with. Just about noticeable on short-attack or percussive sounds if you listened for it. Program change and midi control not a problem
