How to change expression pedal toe vs heel polarity

  • Dear all,
I have a problem with a Rocktron Hex Expression pedal.
Connected to the Kemper Remote, most function work properly.
BUT: The direction Heel vs. Toe is changed/upside down --> using it as a wah pedal, it sounds "darkest" in the toe position. Otherwise calibration etc. is fine. I tried already pedal mode 1 vs. 2, but it did not change this problem (just the calibration curve was different)
    Any ideas for that?
I have tried changing polarity by soldering the ring connection in the pedal to the tip and vice versa, no success.

I'm happy about any idea for that....

    Best wishes,

    Sebastian

  • I had the same issue it seems it was remote related. The Weird thing was that if I plugged it into a different input on the remote it worked ok, but on one of the inputs any expression pedal I tried was reversed. Try plugging it into one of the other inputs and see if that makes a difference. I had a rocktron hex and it worked fine both plugged direct to the toaster and into the remote.

  • Okay - here is the solution:

Changing the Exp-Pedal to any other plug did not help at all - still the same problem.

Therefore I opened the pedal and changed the red wire with the yellow/green wire on the pot by soldering.
--> now it works in the correct direction.
