is really a big difference 96/192KHz. in voice recording??
is really a big difference in latency versus las generation??

thanks

Nope.
192 kHz can be of great benefit when you slow down sounds (stretch etc). Other than that: meh.
and in latency? is worth the difference?
i can get the first generacion Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 by 259 e or the 6i6 first generation by 179 e

I run SD 2.0 and several waves plugins while recording via the 18i8. No issues or latency at all man.
Actually, that's the one I'm using currently as well - the 18i8 1st gen! I also bought it like a month ago. A fine interface! Don't worry - if you're in a psychologically good mental state (unlike me!) and you don't need to constantly have the newest stuff - then you're fine!
They only just came out with the 2nd gen of cards - they will be available mid June. Just a few minor (but nice to have) upgrades to those new interfaces...
Same got mine about 5 weeks ago. Thankfully does everything I need.
Gianfranco, one man's crap is another man's high-end
PS: Weird, I just found that the 6i has got 4 analog output lines, while the 8i has got only two
Hi viabcroce,
i was also confused by this. Also i did not get, why the 18i8 has 8 outputs and the 6i6 only has 6 although it obviously has 2 TRS-Output connections more.
After reading the respective manuals i think that on the 18i8 the two Headphone outputs serve as 4 individual outputs (as two stereo-pairs) while on the 6i6 the headphone stereopairs are just mirroring the same signal that is routed to the 4 line outputs on the back of the interface.
I hope this helps to resolve the confusion
Hi all,
To confirm - the '6' outputs that the 6i6 has are: 4 line outputs (the first two are mirrored to headphone output 1, the second two are mirrored to headphone output 2) + SPDIF Out (2 channels).
The '8' outputs from the 18i8 are: 2 line outputs, 2 x stereo headphone outputs (completely independent from the line outputs) + SPDIF Out (2 channels).
