hello
for who is using IEMs, is it possible to obtain a controlled feedback if I have no wedge monitor and no cab?

You can program a feedback simulator with the pitch effect. The ducking parameter can be used to have no harmony when you are playing regular notes, and then as a longer note starts to decay, the note is replaced by a harmony note (or two) that sounds like feedback.
There are also products like the Boss Feedbacker that can give you that sort of thing.

You could try using a small active monitor on stage that you feed from the monitor out. Controlling the monitor out level with an expression pedal will allow you to bring in the feedback when you want it.

so I need or a monitor in front of me, or a cab behind me?
How do bands that choose IEMs obtain feedback? just curiouscheers

The placement of the monitor is up to you.

You have to have a speaker playing back your sound at a level your pickups can 'pick up' and feed back to the amp. With IEM's only there's no sound for the guitar to feedback. This is the one area the Kemper used only with IEM's won't respond like a real rig.

I use a Tc Helicon Fx150 powered monitor that attaches to my mic stand that works great for obtaining controlled feedback.
