Just bought one of these, my first wireless (once had one forced on me on a tour that was H O R R I B L E and swore I'd never ever use one again). First impressions : great! Great value, plug and play, just works
Line 6 G10 wireless system

Some years ago I tried one cheap system but had a feeling bout to much latency.
It feels tight with the G10? -
Please continue your review once you've tried it some more

I bought one for my GF's violin, it works but I tried with my guitars and I can say it don't works well with active pickups. There's a very disturbing hum. Impossible to use it with my active Music Man's.
No problem with passive guitars.

Hmmm that doesn't sound too good. I've got ttwo guitars with active pickups...
And in reply to the latency thing, yep! I can't feel any, at least
-
Tell me if you got the same issue with yours sam.
-
Will do, though I won't have any of my actives for a couple of weeks; they're all in storage and I'm off on holiday.

Does not Pete Thorn use one of this units?

He makes demonstration videos of many Line 6 devices.
From the Line 6 website:
"I've taken the [Line 6] X2 wireless all over on tour with Chris Cornell. It's worked great and sounds just like a cord!"—Peter Thorn of Chris Cornell

I use Line 6 G30 since years and think about to change to G10 (because of Accu and small dimension)
No troubles.
If you stand close to the box than a latency is hard to feel.
If the box is not so close than you feel latency as well you would feel with a cable. -
How do you find the form factor @sambrox? I was considering one of these but thought I might prefer a pack on the guitar strap to the bulky looking plug. I haven't seen one in person though so I'm curious of your opinion on it.
It does kind of ruin the aesthetic of my reliced custom shop strat, but it's nitpicking really. It's pretty small and unobtrusive, especially with guitars that have the input along the bottom edge of the guitar, Les Paul/Telecaster style.

There is no latency with a cable, unless you're in the 500 kilometers range Although there is latency due to speed of sound if you're not standing right next to a speaker.

Another pretty great feature is that it automatically mutes so you don't get that sudden loud buzz and crackle when changing guitars.

Compact solution!

I was talking about feeling latency if you are not close to the box. I think you understood what was mentioned.
Are you picking peanuts or are you one of the player which are disturbed by 3-5 ms latency? Than don't stand more than 10 m far away from the box (with ore without cable) -
Thanks for the picture with the Strat - I was worried a little if the stick will fit
