This is probably a stupid question, but being a newbie, i'll ask it anyway. is the looper in the KPA or is it in the remote? If its in the KPA, where is it and can i control it with something besides the kemper remote. Thanks, guys

as far as I know the only way is to control it from the remote. It is also not possible to control it from any other device beside the remote.

You can control looper with switches (back panel switch 1 and 2). Go to system page 5 and just change desired function (looper mode, looper play, looper stop). I'm not sure if you can use midi commands to control looper functions.

The changelog on eurekaprom3 says it controls looper functions on an FCB1010

You can control the looper via midi commands. Try a search there are a number of threads explaining what midi commands do what.
