Purchased new profiling amp and remote at same time. Successfully updated firmware on amp via thumb drive. I had remote connected while amp rebooted, now remote is in an endless firmware update cycle (over an hour). The lights flash, the screen lights up showing "updating firmware" and a progress bar, but it never completes. The screen eventually goes dark, and the boot up screen starts over again and the cycle continues. Any ideas?

Was the Remote connected, during the initial firmware update?

One thing you could try:
Turn the KPA off.
Disconnect The Remote.
Turn the KPA On without The Remote.
Connect The Remote.

Thanks. Have tried that without success. After the umpteenth time rebooting the amp (sometimes connecting after the reboot was complete, sometimes having it connected during the reboot) I simply let it cycle all night and went to bed. This morning, the display on the amp (not the remote) displayed that "A software error occurred" and told me to take a picture and call support then hit exit to reboot. I rebooted the amp with no problem and that works fine. Amp also works great with the rig manager software connected via USB to my PC. Remote simply won't connect under any approach I use. Will be calling Kemper support later tonight when I get home from work.

I upgraded with the remote disconnected. After update was completed I connected the remote to the running Profiler and the Remote was updating on its own just that moment. Could there be a Software-Setting that prevents this from happening?

No, there is no software setting. If your Remote isn't working anymore try a different cable first.
