My Kempers Direct out is making lots of noise and sent out for repair. The Kemper support is always very fast and helpful. Has anyone else had to get their Kemper repaired? If you did, how long after you bought it? I am concerned about an expired warranty in the future if there any additional issues.
Kemper repaired?

I have had mine since 2012. No issues yet *knock on wood*
I hope I didn't jinx it now...

I wouldn't worry, Anthony.
The only difference might be shipping cost and a small repair fee at worst; Kemper really looks after its customers, mate.
You've bought into the family, and nobody's gonna throw you out the back door.

I had my first KPA repaired under warranty due to the LED issue. Other than that no issues at all and it was repaired very quickly

Mine crapped out in 5 months. Started to get real noisy then eventually made all sorts of sounds even with nothing plugged in. Sounded much better after the repair but I just get the feeling it's not as good as when I first got it, high gain profiles just don't sound the same as I remember. Wish I could A/B it with another KPA

Send me some DI's. I can run them through some stock profiles, and you can compare your re-amp vs mine.
(all through spdif of course)

Make sure the clean sens setting during the recording is registered, so the reamp sens can be set to the opposite and ensure identical gain staging

Good point!

Thats what happened to mine. Only had it 2 months and sent it back to shop two weeks ago for repair. Every day it's not here my heart sheds another tear.
l would be very interested in the comparisons that you are offering to produce, Michael_dk

@ElDoca and @GonzoFB Did they tell you what was wrong with your Kemper(s)?
If anyone is curious, this is how my direct out sounded https://www.dropbox.com/s/q3xx…reoj/kemperissue.mp3?dl=0

Unfortunately mine hasn't come back yet, but the symptoms were input overload, led flashing, random sporadic blasts of noise from all or any output. Tried different guitars, cables, various combinations and it would even do it with nothing connected to any of the inputs. It would be OK for about 10 minutes and then all hell would break loose.
I don't think it's common, I just plucked a lemon
edit: similar to your sound file but oh so much louder

Do any of you guys plug your guitar into the Input whilst your Kemper is ON, or do you switch ON with the cable plugged in?

I leave my guitar cable in the input all the time without taking it out. I do however at times change guitars while the Kemper is on. Is this an issue?

Does it matter? -

How long is the warranty for LEDs? Had one LED die on me, no biggie though.. -
Warranty is 3 years IIRC
-
Only @ Mothership unless your store doesn't supply the same service

My Kemper is still out for repair. The latest update is the analog pcb and dsp board are being replaced.

I leave the cable plugged in all the time, and change guitars with KPA on all the time. And yes I turn it on with cable plugged in and connected to guitar with guitar volume on 10 since I use one of my DVP3 for a volume pedal. -

it went pretty fast for me : 2 weeks including parcel going to Germany and back to France (for led PCB)
