Pretty basic mic setup with the Royer on one speaker directly on the dust cap and the 57 on another speaker about halfway between the cap and the edge of the cone. Both on axis about an inch back and carefully tested for phase. I still have the mics setup in the same position as when I captured this profile.

That's great ! Please do as many profiles as possible with this setup since it sounds pretty unique both as a profile and as a cab. I'm also interested in cleans & crunchy tones if that amp can handle these tones .
I'm joining a metal band ATM and seriously thinking about using your profile as my main rhythm tone.

That might be one of the main factors I'm enjoying in the tone as I use Celestion Neodymium Creambacks which are higher wattage g12m with a little touch of the g12H thrown in.

Any more profiles available? I used it with my Iron Maiden tribute band last week.
Was just a smaller pub/bar gig using my 2X12 cab only, no direct to PA just a vocal/bass drum rig.
Boosted the bass, increased the mid range and reduced the treble and presence a bit on the monitor out section to the cab, sounded and felt great. As I keep finding with profiles that sound great in a band mix direct to PA set flat I need to keep making these adjustments to be heard and cut right when just using a guitar cab like a regular amp. Just kind of accepted it now and it works so all is good. If I were to set the EQ in the profile itself to sound good through the cab the sound going straight to desk would be a muffled, boomy, super middy mess. This makes sense to me considering you don't need as many mids or as much bass when recording etc. So I've realised this is just the way it has to be and no slight on this profile at all.

I've been really liking the cab from this profile, so I went back and used it with your first Cameron Atomica profile and I think that now sounds amazing running to FRFR. I'm a bit like Michael Britt where live I definitely prefer profiles that are deemed a too dark at bedroom levels and it works very well together.
Ears were a bit tired with the headphones on after 4 hours so will go back and tweak the Atomica profile some more to my taste, which is usually the amp parameters rather than the EQ but on initial listen I think I now prefer it to the CCV profile. The mids are a little more prominent.
I tried to make a couple merged profiles but didn't like the way they came out. Need to go back to the drawing board and try again. Sounded ok through FRFR but direct sounded terrible. Tried with both a Neve RNDI and a Behringer GI100 but found the direct to cab sound really harsh and nothing at all like the actual amp through the same cabinet.
I'll keep trying and hope to get something better soon.
I wondered if this difference relates to the recording level of the direct profile - not sure what the ideal level is but if you recorded it pretty hot I would try repeating the DI profiling at 5 dB and 10 dB (say) lower and see how it turns out.
