Wonderfull hint! The link has no function here in Gemany but I watched another footage. Very impressive and nice musicans! Didn't know them.
Is she Kurdish, Iranian, Pashtu? The language sounds in this way. -
Super stage background. Super crowd! Super groove....groove by the way: The question of measure reminds me of a former drummer of my former band.
He became every time crazy if we didn't count a song. 1,2,3,4 = 1st cycle, .... 1,2,3,4 = 4th cycle = 1. Verse, now chorus: 1,2,3,4 ...
If we played from the belly and made a mistake he was absolute in raged. And now you show a crowd in 9/8.
Actually you just told me the reason why I had always "discussions" with "drummers from the western hemisphere"...several times these discussions became really funny.Like "we can double or halve the groove of the song but it is forbidden to get slowly faster or slower during the song.."
And I talk about pros here..sad view, strange "rules" on music,no;So 2/3 of drummers/percusionists/musicians out there in the rest of the world are wrong..just we here in europe are right..well..
Btw..great music in your last videos.

Though they are Canadian now

Love LRB, one of my all-time fave bands, SWASS. Great choice man!
For sheer class of production, harmonies, arrangement, songwriting and performance, they're top-of-the-heap IMHO, sharing pride of place with only a handful of bands through history, if any.

For now, I've fallen out of love with electric guitars and am engrossed with nylon string guitars both in classical and smooth jazz music.
I just bought a nice crossover Cordoba guitar and, while I'm listening to a lot of Manuel Barrueco, these guys have caught my ears.

On TuesdayI talked about upcoming musicans from the so-called second und third world.
Now here is another highlight in my eyes. His name is Gavin Idema (with i) and I observed hin on YT since 2, 3 years. In my humble opinion he isn't only a good lead guitarist who only shines by technical playing. He is innovativ and a good songwriter, too.
But sometimes I think he calculate every singel rice grain wether he eat it or invest the money into his gear.
He is great:

There is a big guitar-movement at that time. Absolute interesting what there going on. -
Awesome player.. His fingers are a mile long.. And he does look like he could eat a little more
-
Great suggestions here, will go through all of them, one by one.
My favorite non-mainstream certainly is Chris Whitley:

Yes. About 5-6 calves, 2 elephants and 4 chicken for dessert. Or half of me. Then he could possibly look quite normal. And me too.

We have provided more information on this in our privacy policy. He got a lot of fire because of the lyrics on this album but I dont care..Jeff is 71 now and I am very happy that he is still here.Actually he (and Jimi boy) is the reason I always wanted at least to try to find my own style on the guitar not looking to much what is "hip" and what not..Jeff has such a voice..he just need to play a single note and all people know it is him.Amazing.And sure not mainstream.

I have to post this:
A master with wizard finger
