I like both versions a lot. Dan Auerbach seems to be channeling more his inner Skip James than his Burnside vocally. The Black Keys are more musical overall but Burnside will always be the coolest.
Both very cool
I posted a couple o' clips a year or two ago, but this is the only gig available on DVD - The Gaelic Club one in Sydney (Melbourne band).

“That guitar player” is Jack Jones, born Irwin Thomas Whittridge, now known as Irwin Thomas.
He’s known to Australians as Jack Jones, lead guitarist and singer of the band Southern Sons, which shone brightly but only for a short time 30-odd years ago. It featured some very-accomplished Aussie musos including Virgil Donati.
His input is a huge reason why Electric Mary is so-polished whilst still being gritty / raw. You may have noticed his excellent backup vocals during the gig.
Anyway, here they are live:
… and some clips:

Hi, they are a relatively old band, I recommend you listen to their previous records if you like their music because I think the creative peak is already behind them.
