I don't think there'd be any point in doing so with a lead as clean as that; such lead sounds cut through the mix pretty-well as-is 'cause they possess sharp attack transients and plenty of harmonics.
I could be wrong of course...
Check out the lead at 2:08. There is a distinct brightness with some modulation in tone from his previous phrasing. He goes back to the tone of the first phrasing again at 2:22. You can definitely hear the change. I don't know how else to get that tone at 2:08 - 2:21 without a cocked wah. ??
