I have tried many 6505 profiles, but many of them sounds very METAL. Before spending other money, do you know if anyone have profiled a 5150 with these specs?
And maybe a profile of the clean channel with Bright switch ON and crunch OFF ?

A 5150 (or 6505) with Eddie EQ

These amps have a lot of gain and those settings look quite typical for metal on the lead channel, apart from the resonance control being a bit low. The speaker used probably has more impact on the profile than the eq though.

Yes, these were the settings I've also used with my 5150 Combo which has 2x12 Sheffiled Speakers. It sounded EXACTLY like the Balance tour. With a Boss PS5 in the loop for detune effect, I was in heaven. Never replied that sound with the 5150 iii I bought later...And the clean channel was surprisingly CLEAN! I remember an interview with Eddie where he said that the develop of 5150 combo took a long time.

My humble opinion is that it is a myth and a marketing tool to adopt the exact settings in profiles unless you use them in Direct Amp profiles / Powerrack / Same cab as the original.
this because the mic model and position will change so much the eq...
I recently bought a pack claiming that this was the exact amp/cab/mics/settings than a very famous guitar player but the final profiles didn't sound at all like the real thing...

Yes I still have bought TJ brown sound profile. I'm looking for hagar era sound. There are many profiles of 5150 but with too mids and gain under 5. Thanks anyway.

Hear Guido's Profiles from several Peaveys. They are amazing (for Rock too).
