If i like the FX that I have set on a specific performance slot, but I want to only change the amp rig and leave the FX the same, how would I do this? Would I have to lock what I don't want changed and then change what I want and then unlock it? Would this work? Is this the only way?

Yes, that's what lock is for.

I think you could try to save the amp module you want as a preset.
Chose the amp , press store , use Amp-module (Soft button 1) and give a name.In the Rig you want this Amp you can insert it with the browse knob.(like all other presets)

Yes, this is also possible, but in this case I'd recommend to save the whole stack (amp plus cab).

Woah, that is so useful, never really knew what lock was for.
I've recntly been changing my rigs and having to re-set my effects!
