I know I've seen a similar thread before but I can't find it. Three short clips of the three different sounds No cabinet (few seconds just for quick reference) cabinet and EQ without cabinet.
This is a profile of one of my little amp, I was trying to see if I can improve the sound and ended up disabling the Cabinet and using EQ to remove the MIC out of the Equation. I though I got a decent sound. Even though I can hear the difference in the EQ, I'm quite surprised that we're able to get decent usable sound just from EQ alone.
I never attempted this before but the Graphic EQ in the Kemper has Low and Hi pass filter and I have to say I'm somewhat surprised that this is possible. Any way the profile is attached is of an Black star HT. If you like this kind of sound, disable the Cabinet and leave the EQ on and Vice versa to hear which you prefer, for a weird reason, the EQ alone feels better to play to me.. I'm going to try it on other profiles and see what I get. Please chime on with any thoughts of how usable this can be and how it can be improved and is it similar to True Cabinet in a sense
