Haha, you bet. But to be honest, I've kinda missed that pre-show ritual since I last did it some twenty years ago. It provided a clear break between the 'everyday' me and the performer. There are lots of genres where that distinction is deliberately blurred, but I think it's an important aspect of performing as such (and has been since ancient times).
This is one of the reasons why I thought up a new stage look for my current band -- more subdued than those early years, but a little more extravagant than what we did lately. We keep the hoods off until the soundcheck is finished, then mark the start of the show and morph into our stage personas by pulling them over our heads.
