Profiling Amps With DAW EQ Baked To The Profile

As the title suggests, what is the chain for me to profile my amp with my DAW EQ baked in? I understand how to profile but when I tried just going from SM57 > Microphone XLR into preamp (instead of straight to Kemper) and then into Cubase then back out to the return jack of the Kemper it said the volume was too low. I assume this was not the correct way?

No, I think it's the correct way, as long as you use the correct routing & monitoring in cubase/on your interface. Sounds like you need to turn your preamp gain up, or the fader in the daw.

When it said it was to low did you raise the profiling input on the Kemper as well?

Did you check if the KPA is getting any signal through the return input before taking the profile?

If not please check if you have the live monitoring engaged for the DAW audio track that you want to use your plugin on.
