Kemper Rack: switch on/off from the rearside?

  • Hello,

I like to put my 3HE rack on the frontside.
(Our rehearsal room is super tiny.)
So I have access to the rearside from above for all wires.
I always switch the Kemper on and close the front lid again.
For switching off the same backwards.
It would be nice to not even open the front lid.
I thougt about cutting a hole into the front lid, but for better protection i like to have it closed.
    Especially when it rains.

So could there be a simple trick to switch on/off from the rearside?

I assume pulling/insert the powercable while keeping the chickenhead to PERFORM is absolutely no option...

  • There are many people that do it this way. Always on Performance mode and switching on and off is done via the powerstrip.

This was mentioned many times before, even CK has said that he does it this way if i am remembering right...

  • We cannot guarantee that under all circumstances just pulling the power cable will never cause data integrity issues. It's never recommended with any computer.

Depending on the model (especially Profilers with built in power amps) air circulation is another aspect to take into consideration. Otherwise the built in power amp's protection against overheating might get activated.
