use the low E-string as a drone and play the E major pentatonic (I like the position between the 9th and 12th fret plus surrounding notes): e, f#, g#, b, c#
(same notes as in the c# minor pentatonic)

yes, absolutely.
I phrased that poorly 
I recommended E since it's easy to use the low e-string as a drone, but the preset uses Pitch Detune on the Crystal part and Smear etc.
it has no inherent tonality.

Download and installed the complete 5.1 package, then ran to practice.
The import and transition all went well without a hitch.
I also tested/experimented with most of the delays. Wow!
Moreover, what impresses me is we now having an incorporated dual delay "engine" (for lack of a better term)
I've been lusting for dual delays since way back and Kemper successfully delivered this ability within this package.

Display MoreI just had to roll back to the release OS and restore my back up. After about an hour of playing around and practicing, things got funky sounding, it sounded almost like a combination of fret buzz and a dirty volume pot crackle (sorry I didn't record it). I rebooted and tried changing modes and other rigs, no change, still bad sounding. I tried 2 different guitars and cables just to make sure.
I restored my back up first with the beta OS and it was fine for about another hour, but then it started again. I'm pretty sure it happened after switching back and forth between browse and performance modes. I would practice in performance mode with my normal rigs for a while, then play around with the delays for a bit in browse mode with random rigs. When I went back to practicing in performance mode, I noticed things were off.
I only played around for about 10 min. after the roll back to release OS and restoring my back up. I made sure to change rig presets, switch between modes, switch delays, and all seems well. I'll run through it for a couple hours tomorrow during practice to make sure there isn't something else going on.
PS I loved the new delays while I was playing around though.
I got this too - sounded like an earth fault or short. Only happened twice in quick succession but not since. I have imported factory rigs and presets since it happened. Fingers crossed.
I just updated and I'm afraid just don't have enuff time, even if I live past a 100, to enjoy all of this.

Just tried to update looked like it went well but it just froze on the " Kemper Profiler" screen and stayed there, tried to power off, wont shut down, now what? pull the power cord out?

Yes, that's the next step. When you say it 'froze', how long are we talking about? I only ask because, when I updated it took an age (went and made tea!) before finally starting up.
sat and watched it for 15 min, stayed on the green kemper profiler screen,, pulled the plug, it restarted, seems to be updated,,no gigs for a while so gonna let it run all day see how it goes, love the new stuff as usual,,Delays are just great,,new rig manager looks good, could not find the sub folders yet, still looking thru it,
Well, fingers crossed on that!
Folders: You'll need to create you own sub folders by right clicking on 'A' folder and using 'Add Folder'
