I can take my Kemper and put it side by side with another one, using the same profiles, monitors and guitars, and mine sounds really flat and inarticulate. I sent it away to Kemper to look at and it comes back the same. Anyone else have a similar issue where they just struggle to get there unit to sound good? I usually resort to EQing the Master and Monitor outputs by rolling off Bass frequencies and boosting Treble, that helps but I still know something is not right the my Kemper.

What is your pure cab set at?

global at 3 I believe,

Try turning it off (not just set to zero) in the master/output section.

Do you have it compared with the same guitar cable, same volume and monitor?
-
We tried to make everything the same, went through menus and made mine the same as the other one.

Maybe try loading a backup from one to the other so you know all is the same.

If it was some setting out of wack, wouldn't a reset to factory defaults, remove that. If the reset didn't, wouldn't that point to an issue with his, particular unit/hardware?

This. It's the only way to be sure you haven't missed anything setting-wise.

Good idea. I'll have to get a backup file from the other machine. We did the comparison in December. Kemper had my unit for almost 8 weeks and I just got it back. Still sounds the same. It doesn't look like they tweaked anything settings wise (or opened the case). I installed the new OS too when I got it back. Waiting on details from the service dept on what they exactly did to it.
