How to get the tempo light on the remote to flash in tempo?

Sorry if this has already been addressed. But very simple question; how do I get the tap tempo light to actually flash to the correct tempo? If I try tapping a simple 1/4 note tempo, the delay sounds exactly as it should, but the tempo light doesn't flash in tempo. It's like the light is flashing to a completely different tempo. Any ideas?

It has been known issue, that tap tempo button blinks out of tempo actually.

It is blinking very close to the tempo but it's 'stumbling' in a strange way.

I think the tap button on the KPA behaves the same way.

It's a minor issue, but I'd love to see it fixed one day.
