Is This Wrong to Do?

  • Ok. I have always wanted to try out the Randall Headhunter Amp (latest Lynch model). It runs about $2k. Some local and some online stores have it for sale. For that price I wouldn't want to keep it. I was thinking I could buy it and then profile it. Then just send it back. If I cannot find it local, then I would possible pay a 10% restock fee. But there are ZERO profiles of this amp that I can find anywhere. And I really want to check it out. What do you think? Thanks in advance

  • That is not something *I* would choose to do.

However, since people buy amps and then decide it's not for them (and stores readily agree to take them back).....PLUS charge a restock fee......I would not lose any sleep over it.

That would have to be an extremely unique amp to go to that trouble.
I have many commercial profiles that get me any tone I want.
