+1 on that.
As a workaround i normally select a rig with a similar tone before i start profiling. I try to compare the rig with the reference amp and adjust the return level to a similar level ot the preset.

Not being able to see your levels is a HUGE pain in the butt. I can't believe this wasn't included in the original release. 
I believe, the display can be the right spot to place input and out level meters.

That's where I expected to see a level meter when profiling and was surprised to see nothing.
+1 here too. It's an absolute must really. We do need the ability to monitor particularly the input level when profiling.
