Profiling/Refining on 8 string better for low tunings?

Hi guys. Short question.

Due I am playing an 8 string I am going to need that super tight 0-0-0-0 . So I found this quote on http://www.ergnerds.com:

"Most of you are probably going to want to know why and how these profiles are working better with lower tunings than others.
The answer is simple: We used an 8-string guitar for the refining process. Using a guitar with an extended range enabled the Kemper to learn how the amps we profiled would handle the lower frequency range of the 7th and 8th string." (http://ergnerds.com/kemper-profiles/)

Is this true? Will the profile be any different when profiling/refining with a 7-8 string compared to a 6-string for low tunings?

okay YES AND NO..what i mean by that is Frank and Lars (Deadlightstudio) did a specific profile for an 8 string

The YES part
Yes they refined it for an 8 string and it sounds great on an extended range guitar
and wont sound "as good" etc on a 6 string, ACTUALLY i should say the same

The NO Part
I am a 9 string player and i just posted some presets from Dan's 6505_s35
Now although Dan used a 6 string (i am pretty sure) it does sound absolutely killer on an extended range guitar.

some profiles although refined for 6 will work okay for 8-9
some refined for 8 wont work well for 6 BUT SOME WILL

BUT, i have no doubt these will work okay for a 6 and ill test them

Ill get the full pack from those guys and report on my 9 string, but YES you can get profiles that are refined for an 8 that sound good
and No some that are on a 6 still sound good on an extended range guitar.

Confused? It okay take 2 beers and call me tomorrow. Or do you want me to explain the blah why the kemper's refining with pick ups and for lower frequencies is responsible? Ill need to wait till all the beer is gone if so

Well officially the guitar used doesn't affect the refining process. I find this hard to believe and it seems plausible that being able to generate those frequencies is helpful.
