When I save a stack it doesn't save volume setting.
As in the vol control knob setting on bottom right of Kemper.
So when I browse back to that stack it's still too loud !
Why doesn't volume get saved ?
It appears the only way to save vol with a store is to adjust vol of amp.
But it's more convenient to adjust & save via from front panel vol control.
Is this possible ?

The front panel control is not the "amplifier volume". It is the "rig volume", a different parameter.

The front panel (rig) volume is stored when a rig is stored. This is the Volume of the entire signal path of the Rig (including the input/output/mix of active stomps and effects).
If you store a Stack, the effects and stomps are not included, so the stored Stack may have a different volume than the Rig that originally contained the Stack.

But store says it's storing it as a 'rig'
Yet the front panel volume setting is not being storedIf you refer to the main volume: this never gets stored. Only rig volume is stored when storing a rig.

The bottom right Volume knob is the Rig Volume, and is stored when a Rig is stored.
You can bypass any stomps and effects, if you want to use the Rig Volume to set the level when you Store the amp/tone stack/cabinet without stomps and effects.
The upper right Main Volume/Master Volume is not stored.

Replace and Rename options will store the new rig volume (bottom right knob).

You must use the "entire rig" option in the Store menu when you want to store the entire rig including the rig volume setting.

Master volume never gets stored - this is a feature. -
Well, it'll change in the RM folder that reflects your Kemper, which makes sense. It's important to be aware of the distinction between the library, which could be 50 000 Rigs, and what's loaded onto your Kemper, which is only ever going to be a tiny subset of that.
The folders in your local library are "the ultimate" storage-and-browsing pool, and whichever Rig you activate gets sent to the Kemper's patch buffer. As you've discovered, once re-saved, the Rig appears in your Kemper's folder in RM; what you do with it after that is up to you.
The upside of the way this works is that you're not likely to accidentally mess up settings in any Rig in RM's library 'cause you have to consciously delete it and drag the new, re-saved Rig from your Profiler's folder to the same location in order to replace it.
