Display on remote stepped on with heels

  • I know how it might've looked, but really, I've been dealing with Ivan, the owner of both stores in Canberra, for 15 years exclusively. I was badly ripped off one too many times (big bucks) around 2001-2, which is literally the reason I'm still saving for gear today (almost there) to get back into making music.

Yes, you can't go wrong with Pro Audio or Better 'cause, as I suggested in that post, I have supreme faith in Ivan's attitude and principles, which obviously flow through to the way both businesses operate.

From a guitarist's perspective, you're kinda blessed in that Better imports Music Man, Suhr and other high-end brands directly, IFAIK, getting first dibs at the stock when it arrives and passing what they don't keep on to other retailers around the country. I say "you're" 'cause I'm so crap I don't consider myself a guitarist yet, but hey, in truth we're lucky to have those peeps in Canberra, Dale.

Rock on, brother, and as I suggested, if you ever need a good word put in for ya, I'm more than happy to oblige.

  • Many thanks Monkey Man - Love your work...

Shows how far I am behind the times - I didn't know the two Canberra stores were joint owned.

My guess was that Nunzio was still in the picture somewhere....

    Go well

  • Hi Dale, got in touch with Deluxe they gave me a number in Melbourne, that does the repairs they are called innovative music all good the ball is rolling, holding my breath for the quote, hopefully the mother board isn't cactus

  • Yes bought Mesas amps off the guys,I remember having a problem with my mark v the guys bent over backwards to sort it out

  • My "work"? LOL Hey, I just love people, and try to be of service any way I can mate.

Behind the times? Well, I really don't know if it's meant to be common knowledge; Ivan's shared a lot of stuff with me, so I hope this isn't something I wasn't meant to divulge. Logically, you'd think there'd be no problem 'though. He's a great operator at any rate, and is supremely-trustworthy.

IFAIK Nunzio's family (Frank Gambale is actually part of it IIRC) sold the business to Ivan quite a few years back, or at the very-least, Nunzio decided to take a back seat.

Once they had my correct email address, they answered promptly, not saying who gave them an incorrect email

You wouldn't be the first, mate. So often, too, folks have received responses from support that have sat quietly in heir spam boxes whilst they came on here and complained that their ticket requests had been ignored.

Yes, that's my man Steve's business, Serge. He's specialised in importing high-quality gear for many years now.

As I said earlier, I can pester.. I mean, gently prod him if things seem to go too slowly for you.

Yeah, that's their M.O., mate. That's why I keep banging on about their integrity. Awesome business, both Pro Audio and Better Music.

We're all very-lucky to have these guys, and Kemper couldn't hope to have a better wholesaler than Innovative, IMHO. The fact that they know their stuff electronically-speaking can't do any harm either.

  • Thanks for posting about the screen protector! Bought one! What a great investment and idea. Looks thick like it could take on a phone, bottle, slide or heel! Every owner should know of this!

  • FWIW,

I would think a Lexan screen protector would be more durable, since plexiglass can crank and shatter. Lexan is more forgiving and doesn't crack. This only based on front panels I have made using lexan.
