Have you considered the newer-generation L6 guitars? Some great acoustics and 12-stringers on them IMHO. That'd give you a more-authentic-sounding starting point from which you can dial in some chorus, pitch-shifting etc.

Agree with @Monkey_Man suggestion ...
One of my bands is a Latin Jazz duo/trio (mostly Brazilian) where I use my JTV-69's Martin® D-28 together with @breu acoustic pack which works wonders live (and anywhere else) - plus, the advantage of one guitar for practically all of my gigs (though I have upgraded the pup's & tuners)
