I was just wondering who's SLO profiles you think is best? I have Top Jimi's and Bert Meulendijk's. I'm really liking Bert's. so thick but at the same time really cutting.
Personally I can't wait till Matt Figurski can get his hands on one.
Who makes your favorite Soldano SLO100 profile???

Top Jimi's are too dark and muddy. Can't say I've tried Bert's. I've found MattFig's profiles to be too bassy and boomy for my liking.
To be perfectly honest, the Soldano SLO100's I've tried have never quite impressed me until I got SinMix's. I definitely recommend.

I don't own any SLO packs, but from the free samples I've tried, I like SinMix's the best.
-
are there medium gain ones in Sinmix' pack? I find ANY profiles with the gain past 3 o'clockish to be unusable. I'm going for a George Lynch/Warren Demartini style tone. I love my profiles to be in the 10 o'clock to 1:30 range. I just put a +1.5 pure booster on the stomps for leads.
-
Yeah, I saved 2 "crunch" tones which are really nice.
-
Also, you might want to check out the free Thumas profile for the modded Soldano HR100 on the Rig Exchange / Rig Manager.
Profile is named: "Soldano HR 4 Merged TS"

The Amp Factory (Andy) has a really good SLO set of profiles. I would love Cili to work his magic on the SLO. He does a great job of creating profiles that run the gamut of music genres. Big Hairy Profiles has a similar approach too.

Kosten's free SLO-100 is amazing.

I'm also looking for a SOL 100, but for a special reason:
[Request] Achieving Gary Moore's "Blues Alive" Tone
For this I need a really raw profile from the clean channel in crunch mode, or ideally multiple ones with different settings.
It should be a merged or di pack so I can switch cabs more effectively (I would still need a Marshall 4x12 wit EV12s cab or IR ...)
What are your thoughts on this? I was about to purchase the Top Jimi Pack but now I'm not so sure...
-
Try Guidorist or Cili, for example. Bert Meulendjk has a good Soldano but as part of a Pack.

Were you referring to me?

+1 for guidorists merged soldano. Killer with a gibson. You will nail moores tone. You can also nail it with Andys hot mod marshall and a good cab.

Were you referring to me?
yeah. Guidorist provides less profiles than Cili but you can turn the volume pot down or lower the gain and the sound is still good. A cheap pack and merged, which you may prefer.

Thank yout guys, will definitely check out the Guidorist pack !

Rock profiles has a great SLO-100 pack! I like the one from Guidorist too! More cabs option with Rock profiles though!
