I'm not a snob, BTW. I just grew up in a musical environment that didn't have distorted guitars for the most part. When I played in bands it was pop, funk, reggae, calypso. Steely Dan, Satriani, and Toto were the harder end of the spectrum for me. I can appreciate heavier music objectively, but it's not in my past or in my blood so I don't enjoy it.
