My first purchase of 2018 was a Gibson gig bag, for this guitar. The used gig bag cost me almost as much as the used guitar

Is it just me, or does the classical guitar sound out of tune AFTER he tunes it at the beginning with the Roadie?
Let us know how it works out buddy. -
My latest addition to the family, it's an '08, "The Dark Knight" I think I'll be swapping the stock pups for my Arcane's - 13K alnico 2 bridge and 8K alnico 5 neck when time permits. For now, I like the Black and Chrome.

A DS Custom Stereo Interface. This is a great doohickey for driving two amps. It has switches for changing the phase and lifting the ground. Made by a guy in Germany, this thing has a Lehle transformer inside to properly separate each amp. Kind of like a cheap Lehle in that regard. Plus, it's stereo and auto sums in case there's only one output in use. I bought it used for a 100 clams. Worth it, imo.

AJ i was just about to buy the Palmer amp selector (also made in Germany)

My Kemper
It would have been new pickups for my 12 string strat, but then the Kemper came along.
I love it so much, that currently it resides in the bedroom and not in my studio. I have to be careful, I think my wife might get jealous ...
-
I did a thing....
Have to say, NOT being a 7 string guy, this gives all the thrills and none of the learning curve!
Ibanez RGIB6 Baritone. .68 Low B!!
Even splurged for the hard case.

I think my wife might get jealous ..
Wives, they just don't get it LoL, but as long as they tolerate us it's all good!

Ash, the Palmer will be great! I think with the Kemper it really doesn't make a difference if there's any hum because the noise gate is SO. DAMN. GOOD. Completely transparent and you can just dial out any annoying background noise. -
I just made my first major sale of 2018. Sold my 5150III.
I really liked the amp, but God, the absence of a master volume is a pain in the ass. Plus, with the 5150, you really have to drive that sucker in order to get to the real meat and potatoes stuff. Not really feasible in my case.
Oh well, I have another amp lined up with the money I made. See if I can get that home soon.

Bought my Kemper. Got the UAD Neve stuff and the API stuff a few weeks before 2018

I have an old George L switcher sitting around in it's box, got it from my father years ago and never used it. I think it has 3 or 4 spots for amps, and a gain knob.

MY "Want to buy" now is some fat 50s for my strat, I have some really crappy GF pups in it right now. I like GFS pups, but these ones are not my taste

My latest thing was to add a DBX 520 to the vocal chain (amazing how it tames sibilance but leaves the rest of your vocal good. Too much and you sound like you have a lisp!
I also grabbed some Owens-Corning 703 2" and 4" fiberglass boards, some Guilford of Main fabric to cover them (light blue but it looks more grey-blue) and Rotofast clips and tacky cloth spray.
I needed to route out the Rotofast clips a tad with a 27/64 inch drill bit (I have a set from years ago, strange to have that size but it's perfect) and put them up.
(website if anyone is interested: https://www.atsacoustics.com/cat--Accessories--103.html)Here's what a panel looks like (this is w/o any wood framing, just open fiberglass on back, cloth from back edges around to front. It helps with controlling room noise when playing live, controlling your mixes of course, and when tracking live (more for acoustic gtr than amp'd guitar) I had foam treatment but they say this is way way better so instead of buying another $500 piece of gear I just did room treatment instead to see if it helps:

I should probably change the title of this thread to NGD (New Gear Day), as it has taken on a bit of a different course. Thanks must go to the staff for allowing us to share our finds and reppin' our gassing needs as well as running such a great forum.
Love seeing and hearing what others are rockin aside from their Kemper! I've been gassing for a full stack lately and this Marshall 1960 Lead (brand new) popped up for 340US and I couldn't resist! Cruisin on a full tank for now. It's not a '68 Plexi stack but hey!
