Profiling

    I think this has probably been tackled before but it's frustrating the hell out of me. I'm trying my first profile and I keep getting the error message 'No external amp connected or volume too low. I am using and SM58 and a Rode NT1A into a Saffire pro 40. The output of the pro 40 is connected to the return on the Kemper via XLR (I have also tried the jack to jack option) I have sound on both the Reference amp and the Kemper and to my ears they are about the same and I end up with the message during the first stage of profiling. I have tried connecting the send and return together as was suggested in another part of the forum...same result. I have tried connecting just the SM58 direct to the Kemper all with the same results at the same point of profiling. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
