  • ...and if you are familiar with the sounds that specific microphones capture, than that can help as well to choose/buy profiles you might like.
    It´s a matter of taste of course, but for me those profiles work best which have been profiled with two mics blend together. And here the combination
    of -lets say- a bright and dark microphone (e.g. sm57 / ribbon mic) capture the sound closest to what I here when I stand in front of a guitar cabinet.
    Of course other combinations like md421/sm57 make sense as well, if you need midrange punch to cut through the mix or just like the sound.
