From reading this article, it seems the Kemper was released somewhere between late 2011 to some time in 2012.

2011, maybe? I have searchd for this too, but cannot find any solid information
-
AFAIK, "development" was complete in 2011. The product itself 'though dropped either late that year or early the next.
If you hunt down CK's "CK 0" Rig, otherwise known as "Ancient Rig", you'll see that it's dated 2011-01, which tells us that he had the system working even early in 2011.
-
Is the CK 0" Rig the one which you cannot delete?

Correct weight, Brother Ash.
EDIT:
You can delete it from a folder in RM, I know that much, but what you're saying rings a bell along the lines of its being the "default" Rig, whatever that means exactly.A baseline Rig, if you will.
Maybe one of the staff will chime in and elucidate us...

I think if you look at the recent evidence a la Brett Kavanaugh's summer calendar, we can date the Kemper as going back as far as the first week of June 1982.

(Caveat: This is HUMOR folks... not trying to stir up any political discussion!)

My impression was Jan 2012 because I came on in Jan 2013 and that was 1 year later.
If you look at when Members started, CK, Burkhard,Ingolf, etc, the first adopters made their memberships in Jan 2012.
We'd have to ask them if any beta testers had it prior, but publicly I think that's the firm month/year. -
First time I heard about was 2012.

I played a fully functional Profiler at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt in spring 2011.
It sounded very good then, but with the loud environment and only being able to play it through headphones or some KRK monitors at the Messe I didn’t realize what a game changer it is.The first units hit the stores around X-mas 2011 but they were only a few and I wasn’t able to get one of that batch.
I got mine in March 2012, and playing it side by side with my Axe-FX II at home finally opened my eyes.
Sold the Axe-Fx II immediately because I was so shocked by the Profiler's superiority that I thought everyone would realize it soon and thus the Axe would be losing value significantly. (I was wrong about this, though). -
got mine right after christmas 2011 and still smiling
-
I got mine also at March 2012 @Ingolf - I bought it blindly.
Well, blindly in terms of just hearing:

I got mine in April of 2012

March 2012 here.

Late December 2012, gigged it four days after opening the box and every week thereafter for a year and a half. Unlike Ingolf, I hadn’t been using digital since my Pod had broken. Maybe a couple of tracks with plugins. I was coming from vintage Fenders and Supros and an amazing Dumble clone. I can’t say how much better the Kemper is than any other alternative, because since day one tone-wise there hasn’t been any real incentive to explore other options. ymmv

I think it first started to show up in 2011-12.

back to the topic stated in the thread title, please.

I would like to see them come out with a Kemper Performer. All in a Remote style board. Take out the actual profiling hardware/software. Just something smaller like the Helix or Headrush board. I don't profile so I don't really need the extras.
Just my 2 cents.. -
reverb profiling would be cool. Some kind of sensor to scan the room at various locations and capture that magic room sound. Feel free to dispell but don't hate

A 1u version for portability that links to an iPad or phone for the screen work. Still with all the connections though.
Most of my rack looks empty inside, so the size must be to accommodate the screen.

Nope, it’s because the people that asseble th have absolutely MASSIVE hands and need the space for soldering .
