There has been a software-version of the Virus for the TC Powercore platform, so it‘s not completely unrealistic. And it would‘t even compete that much with the hardware. The VST would be more of a „profile player“ and DI-reamping thing where the hardware would be a live tool and for all those who want real hardware.
