Best rock/heavy metal profiles?

For rock there are so many, look through the threads in my sig link.

To be honest I think it's best if you give the name of a popular songs you consider metal and another that you consider Rock as the categories inter-lap and there's many levels or sub genres. My guess is that you would get better responses that way instead of saying just rock or metal, unfortunately.

What some might consider good metal profiles, to me personally would be considered harsh ice pick fizz-land anemic tones and what I consider good metal might be considered by others to be very mid heavy boomy dark tones.

The good news is that there are definitely good profiles for all types of genres.

Check out the Lars Luettge free rig pack. The profiles are fantastic for hard rock and metal.

Josh, for rock such as cock rock / glam / zebra-pants metal / hair metal, I've been recommending Michael Britt's Colonial pack for white a while. Organic and woody-sounding with oodles of character and mojo, IMHO. Not bad from a country man!

I use a couple of ENGL profiles...can;t remember which but search on Rig Exchange and try a few of them..

EVH 5150 III profiles are my go to profiles for Rock/Metal... All seem good!

Sinmix has a pack called annihilator something...one of the best for me...cililab 5:25 is another
