Which profile for live and which profile for recording?

    Guys I know this has been extensively discussed and yes I did the manual about studio, DA and merged profiles, but I am still confused as hell!


    I have the kemper without the power rack to connect to a cab, so I am wondering which profile should I use:


    - in the studio
    - live


    Should I use Studio profile for studio and live? I am a really simple guy and just require the best profile for live and studio, which "type" of profile would you recommend?

    Not sure what youa re asking. There are different types of profiles, full, direct and merged.



    The differences are:
    Full includes cab and amp
    Direct is just the amp no cab
    Merged is both so you can use direct for going into a cab and full for you direct outputs to FOH


    Is the cab a guitar cab? If so then you will be running some sort of power amp? I would look for merged so that your sound is a bit more consistent between studio and live ( although they will never be the same, but as muddysludge says, no real rules here.
