Shark attacks come under deadly wildlife and Fosters comes under beer (sadly - it's one of our worst brews), Shawn. Plenty of deadly stuff on the reef too like stone fish, sea snakes and Irukandji jellyfish.

If i'm honest I feel like i should have been born in Australia and not the UK, the UK for me has always been synonymous with boredom and the colour grey..........
I used to have an educational book as a kid that had a map of the world in the back of it and over each country was an animal that was native to that country, so over Africa you had lions and gazelle and hyena's and Canada had bears and moose and the UK had a Cod.......

And I think Melbourne (Sydney?) is rated as having the best quality of life worldwide.
Australia is also famous for overcharging on musical instruments.
I was actually checking out the link to see if I could acquire a CLR. Alas, no South-east Asia purchase option. The Australian store wants nearly 2 grand for one before shipping.

Yes, we're charged an arm and a leg for gear down here. I didn't know that it was something other countries might be aware of, so that's interesting. If you take into account the Aussie-dollar value, shipping costs, GST and so on, we're still expected to pay a premium beyond that, so it just plain sux.
Nobody's been able to explain this to me, and I've spoken to many retailers about it. I'm forced to conclude that they do it because they feel they can get away with it, and until now, they have.

Yup, we're in the same boat on both sides of the dutch, Grant, but you guys have a few extra charges thrown in for good measure.
It'd be cheaper if we became one country, which is a possibility one day.

I left Australia for some of these reasons.
When you complain about what's happening people often say "you should leave if you don't like it"
Well I did leave it and it was the best decision in my life.Australia is over regulated, over policed, over taxed, over priced, self entitled, violent, arrogant, small d_ck syndrome etc etc..
It's a BIG world out there and I'm afraid Australia barely gets a mention from others which is far different than what Australians believe about their world stage status.
Yes, the above is rather negative but it has to be said in order to maintain reality which is RARELY ever said about Australia..
