Unfortunately I did not find it on YT.
Bummer man. Thank you so much for responding, mate.
Guys he is a great RHY guitarist too
Ash
Really enjoyed that, Ash. Thank you for sharing, brother.
Dunno if this has been posted before
CLASSIC !
sambrox, I bought the video cassette back in 1987 when I'd never even played a note of guitar (still barely have, really, but I was a "serious" bass player at the time). It came with a booklet transcribed (not that I have a clue how to read any music notation) by Wolf Marshall.
It's one of only about four video cassettes that I still have, and you look straight at it when you walk through my front door! I don't even have a VCR anymore, but will be keeping that baby for posterity.
Interestingly, the cassette itself was just plain-black, with no labelling to speak of.
The highlight of the video for me and my friends at the time, who were like, "Who is this dude?", was when he demonstrated the stereo-delay effect he was using. At 3:46 in the YouTube video and 4:08 on the original cassette his expression and "gesture" whilst "appreciating" the stereo delay was priceless.
Thank you for the trip down Memory Lane, brother.
This one is a bit of a bonus, since it's also a Kemper vs Axe FXII video. Man, the guy who's playing blew my mind, after I heard his play for a short bit, I watched the entire video from start to finish.
And this is a Kemper video. Listen to the emotion in his playing.
Couldn't find a good live version of this but this is just hauntingly beautiful.
Where does the guitar end and the voice begin?
Some anti-climax to all the talented musicians. So hilarious.
Who needs to play the solo in the right key?
Make it stop . Please make it stop !
I made it nearly to the end of the album track but I was starting to sound like the guy on the recording by then
Guy's got a sense of humour though ........ at least I hope that's what it is.
Richard's story is a long-and-sad one.
Too much to go into here.
OK.
Don’t judge a book by its cover.
Or as my granny would have told me, “if you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all!!”
Point taken.
I hope you didn't think I was "instructing" you not to, Alan. I wouldn't do that, mate; I never tell anyone what to do and it's just not the way I roll.
When I said, "Too much to go into here", I was speaking from my perspective; I didn't want to have to re-research his history to ensure I didn't misrepresent him.
I'll say this much:
We've all met clowns, for want of a better term, who folks delight in making fun of. I see him as one of these peeps who's lack of talent and ability to ignore criticism have conspired, along with those who joined the fray, so to speak, to create an entity, a celebrity, if you will.
There's even been a lot of debate through the years as to whether or not he's aware of how his playing is viewed by others, such is the apparent mental block to accepting constructive feedback. I can't help but feel sorry for the guy. Poor sod.
Nicky, i’ve only known you through this form for under a year but I think I know “the way [you] roll” by now.
Your repsonses to all posts are ALWAYs constructive and considered with good intentions at all times.
