  • I saw Nuno with Extreme just over a year ago and they were awesome. That boy can play :)

An other interesting fact about that night was that the support band was Dan Reed network. Another great band from way back who are still going and sounding great. Anyway, I had heard Kempers live a few times before and never been impressed with them. Then I heard Brion James using one with DRN and it sounded awesome! That was the night I decided I needed to get a Kemper ^^

Say hello to the rainbow child!! One of the best DRN songs. Saw them as a support band from bon jovi on their New Jersey tour and I love that band. I also saw Extreme live in Cologne last year playing the complete pornograffiti album. Great show and Nuno rules!

  • Two monsters on stage, not guitar related but clearly virtuoso ...

Mr Harmony & Mr Groove , so much musical & creative that I'll have to watch this video at least 10 times to digest it.

the drummer is out of this world :o and the concept of 'ultrascore' is just incredible

  • D'Oh! :pinch:

Man, my bandwidth is screwed ATM and now I've got another video to download.:evil:<3

I can't watch either of them in realtime, but have saved the links for both... :/

    EDIT:

One reason this appeals to me is that he's doing what I've always done in my head. Even for pop song I wrote last year, I made the chorus from a melody I heard in a trendy young female British poet's work.

So yeah, my best ideas come from dreams and also melodies I hear in speech. These sources tend to help prevent one from creating permutations of one's existing work, IMHO, and this is super-important to me 'cause I don't wanna be one of those dudes who writes and benefits from mangling the same idea for 40 years.

I was super impressed of Nuno when I purchased Pornograffiti and three sides to every story. Hadn't listened to those to CD's for years until a couple of years ago and I still like Nuno and the CD's. Still as good as it was back then. Timeless

Interesting how the video still reads "Indiamore", but on closer look reads "MDAMore" haha

Yeah , it sure opens your mind, I never noticed how people talking are in fact making live music. Inspiring !

I use to listen to the birds when I go country side , some are incredible masters of rhythm & phrasing , and all that at the speed of light, the only humans I've seen being able to get to this level are Indian tabla master that sing their 5 minute improvisation just before playing it note to note.

  • Indeed, Renaud. I absolutely love the sound of the tabla and those dudes certainly seem to "get the most" out of 'em.

Every word spoken, even if whispered, is a note or "bent" note. I can think of no exceptions. Not even Steven Hawking's speech machine or the voice "boxes" some throat-cancer survivors use are exempt.

  • Absolute monster....

  • Love Mattias. Got all his stuff. 8o

    EDIT:

If you look carefully you'll be able to see the insanely-high action he uses.

To my eyes it looks like just a medium action. Either your or my eyes are getting too old. ;):S

  • Some great guitar players have high action. Malmsteen is one. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Stevie Ray Vaughan have high action too?

  • I have met Mattias @ Musicmesse Frankfurt. He’s such a nice guy and a crazy good player. He played some clinics there ( with his comb, ballons and whatever). Believe me, he is a gigh action player , but he didn’t make a show out of it like others and he plays much more accurate than Yngwie. I like Yngwie very much and I have also seen him several times live, but at this time he is a shadow of himself and his playing in his younger years was much better. A little bit furious but when he appeared he was outstanding. Long long time ago.....But Yngwie plays much better than so many others:):):)
