Any recommendations for cables that I can easily find in a store guys? Maybe those Planet Waves ones? Ibanez? Warwick? Dimarzio?
I have 3 Dimarzio cables that I’ve had and used almost every day for about 6 years and haven’t had any problems whatsoever. However, I’m very careful with my cables and they get wound up and put away in the best BBC-style practice, haha! Not sure how high end they are, but I’ve never had a complaint with them, so if it ain’t broke...
It's not difficult to do a blind cable comparison and see if you consistently hear a difference.
I use £4.99 spidf coaxial cables :).
8 inch cable from my wireless unit to the input jack
16 inch George-L cable from the wireless receiver to the Kemper
0 wire through the air from guitar to receiver
A good quality cable (Cordial, Sommer, Klotz) and Neutrik plugs. Switched over to soldering my own for everything a while ago.
I don´t think that a 100,-/0.5m cable is really necessary.
Not even in the studio. Maybe there is a slight difference but i personally doubt anyone else besides yourself would really notice.

I think what @Wheresthedug means is that different cables can add a different character to your tone. Like Eddie Van Halen and his 100 metre cable runs just to achieve a certain tone. So there isn't really a best, just what works best for you.

The catch is that while it's better than anyone, it's only any cable you've ever met. There are tonnes of the damn things. Do you like em round and big and juicy? Or do you like them thin with gold plating on the ends?

There is also the fact that what Eddie says he does and what he does are often totally different things. He is a master of spinning a yarn and giving out misinformation
