Andy Innes in WW tournee with the KPA

Great news to see Andy using his KPA live on tour in Australia.
Andy is the guitarist & musical director of the band, the Johnny Clegg band.

Thanks for the punt guys Here's one more - this was our last date on the Oceania / Aus / NZ tour - Paita Arena in Noumea, New Caledonia. I'll have the KPA back on the road in the USA from June, hopefully with a Kemper FOOTSWITCH and with performance mode by then.

do you use the amps only as a stand for the KPA or are you going without cab sim into the return?

I use the return without cab sim, although they also make very good stands

Not all power stages are created equal, though. It sounds pretty good through the Boogie Dual Rec power amps, with a touch of EQ on the Kemper's monitor out required in the top end. This Marshall, on the other hand, struggled with the clean tones - breaking up at any usable stage level, so it functioned mostly as a stand and I pumped the Kemper level through the pair of bi-amped wedges - sounded fantastic!

I have also used an AER compact 60 and Studio XL with sim engaged. They are a pretty good FRFR solution for stage when you're in a bind.

That is my goal eventually to use it live like that, we have a big tour approaching but worried about its long term stability, espically when the midi side of it does not work correctly yet. - and we have differnt flavours in our setlist so I cant just dial a tone and play!.

I see you position it very close to where your standing. - is this so you can dial in your presets quick? as you mention you dont have a foot controller yet?

Thanks for the compliment. The G-system - I thought I would end up using it with the Kemper, but there's no real gain. It's not worth carting the G around in a flight case just for pitch-based FX. My G is currently for sale

I still can't separate from it though and I am kicking in some of my favourite presets occasionally, but I know the "day" will come...
