Part 1 of the BE100 transformation.
Part 1: Depth with custom frequency 3 way switch.
Part 2: Variable Negative Feedback
Part 3: Soon...
This seems interesting...are we headed into a Jose type scenario? or a whole other beast on its own?
Either way makes this sound very one of a kind... i look forward to the tones...!
I think this is gonna sounds wicked

I have always loved this amp. My main complaint would be that the low end was not as big as I would like. The depth mod will cure that.
I have a few amps that have variable negative feedback like the CAE PT100 and the Mezzabarba Trinity. This is a powerful control. It can make or break the tone so having a sweep will be super powerful.
The 3rd mod will add something familiar to some but a great shaping option in combination with the others

BE Evolved mod 3:
Switchable gain stage mod. Makes the amp more open and less compressed. This a nod to a Fender design.
So Tim, going the full mad scientist - I love it! This gain stage mod when active takes out one gain stage - is that after the tone stack or before?

Hi Antipodes , the mod changes the bias to the second gain stage making it more open and less compressed. Really loving the amp with the mods. It has the ability to get more of everything.
OK - I see the cathode resistor with the bypass cap mounted on the PC board and there are a couple of other resistors attached to the switch. Looks like one is wired in series with the resistor on the PCB and the other runs down under the board. I am guessing that a higher resistance under the cathode lifts the voltage at the bottom of the gain stage and results in the effects you mentioned - with less compression etc. Interesting - I guess this sort of mod could be done to almost any tube pre circuit.
The Snake strikes again!

Just released V1 of the BE Evolved! 89 profiles to start and this amp is a new being! Much more versatility and depth. This is one not to miss! Rock to Hard Rock to Metal to Extreme Metal!
Oh, and take advantage of the intro sale

They are some seriously good profiles in there!

For sure this could be applied to any amp.
