I was just wondering if any of you got two Kempers one for the studio (or home studio) and one for touring ???
A bit expensive but... Is this a power trip?

Sarcasm? Joke? Foolishness?
Basically the question was very serious One Kemper for the road and one for the studio.
It could have been interesting
Sorry

He's serious, man.
There's a bunch of folks who do exactly what you're asking about - one for the road and one for the studio / home.
I don't think it's a power trip at all; it just makes sense for some.

4 Kempers? Well Ok if this is a serious response I'll get along with it... LOL I basically wanted to talk about those people with ''ONLY'' two Kempers if this is possible... Anyone? Is it a good idea to get one for the studio and one for the road? WHo got 2 Kempers this way? (one for studio one for the road) I'd like to follow that direction but I hesitate...
I asked the very same question in this thread about a month ago. Needless to say, I am in the market for a second Kemper currently. Been looking on Reverb almost daily trying to score a good deal.

What does 'the road' mean in your case?
If it's a transportation hassle with the Kemper and your rehearsal space, if you're constantly touring and your Profiler is permanently on the road traveling away from you in some trailer, then by all means go and get two.
If not, one certainly is enough.
I had a power rack and a powerhead for a while.
Because I'm playing out less than in previous years one became redundant and I sold it. Kept the powerhead of course.
Hmm, one for practicing at home, and one in the rehearsal space for weekly rehearsals? You'll only have to carry your guitar then, which is still more than that drummer who has 2 electronic drumsets, or that keyboard player who just plays his acoustic at home...
Whatever floats your boat, as long as you can pay for it...
Unpowered rack in studio and a power head for 'away gigs'
The rack was in a theatre installation but went into my studio when that finished.
Dilemma: Another show has just come in - Do I mess my studio up or .... See where this is going?
One thing: It's best to keep both (all) of your machine in sync. Last week, I turned up at another studio (with head) and reached for a certain profile only to remember it was in the rack, at home!
Not a 'power trip' - its my job. I just happen to love it!

I think having one for recording and another for gigs is a very practical idea.
Sarcasm? Joke? Foolishness?

My answer was very serious as well.
No sarcasm, no joke, no foolishness.
If you have the money , just buy
Is more practical have more than one
Why the Hell not?
More is always better.
If you want it and can afford it, what's the big deal?
If you can't afford it, save up until you can.
Never shortchange yourself or feel guilty about getting what you want.
Totes ma goats! Then you could run dual profiles and blend which would be sweet... or four as Lightbox will indeed do at some point I'm sure LOL! I'm looking for that score of a deal always!
Both in Stereo, if you lean to the South you can hear Ash Crankin!
Absolutely! That would be my ideal scenario. I'd love to leave one screwed into the rack on my desk at home, and have another in a case that gets used live. I get tired of unplugging all the stuff for it to take it to practice or shows. I think it'll be a bit easier when I get my power rack and remote. That'll let me size down the rack, but it still isn't as efficient as just having two.
Party on!!
That's just Wrong.
