Forced to change password from same computer every login

  • The subject is pretty much it. If I'm inactive for a little while I get logged off the website. When I sign in again it tells me "invalid password":. I then must indicate I forgot my password and get an email with a link to reset it, every time! I'm using chrome.

Are there any IT guys out there or someone from the website that can suggest what I may be doing wrong or how I can fix this?

  • Obvious procedure, but I've "saved" quite few folks from these sorts of issues with the following checklist. I'm going by memory, so hopefully I don't forget anything important, SA:

    1) Close all windows and pause / delete active downloads.

    2) Clear all cookies

    3) Clear browser and User caches, You may need a utility such as MainMenu, Onyx, Cocktail or a PC equivalent to carry out the latter, or you can look up the Terminal command and copy / paste the text.

    4) Delete history.

    5) Turn Javascript on if it's not on already.

    6) Disable adblockers and all other "fancy" plugins.

    7) Reboot, clearing Parameter RAM if you can. On Mac, hold down Option-Command-P-R whilst rebooting and wait through 3 reboot attempts by the Mac; you'll hear the startup chime 3 times, then let go of the keys.

8 ) Fire up the browser and clear the history, cache and cookies again

    9) Navigate to the Kemper site and... good luck.
