Kemper Remote locking up

Has anyone had a problem with their remote locking up and powering off after a succession of preset changes? Head locks up but doesn't power off. This is a new replacement, I sent the first remote in but they couldn't figure out the problem, thus resulting in the replacement. Seemed alright initially but now experiencing the same problem.

1) just usb to mac.

2) Cable was the first thing tested, tried two other cables, same result.

I'll try it.
