Connections for profiling a Fishman Aura Spectrum (for acoustic guitar)?

Hi everybody.

The question is in the subject. Connections for profiling an amp are very well explained, but since I have an Aura Spectrum DI, and someone has already profiled it on Rig Exchange, I'd like to try, but...how?

Is it correct this way:

- DIRECT OUTPUT/SEND of the Profiler to the guitar input of the Aura Spectrum...right?

- Now...which output of the Aura Spectrum to the RETURN of the Kemper? Aura Spectrum has both an Output Jack AND an XLR out...which one of these goes to the Return?

...or I'm missing something?

Correct, DIRECT OUTPUT/SEND of the Profiler to the guitar input of the Aura Spectrum.

For the return, I'd go with the XLR since it's balanced, but the 1/4" should work as well.

I would be very interested to know if profiling an Aura works - is the Aura effectively an IR?

This is an old thread, but maybe it's still interesting for some people, Aura can be profiled, but it looses much of its quality.

After profiling it I compared it directly putting it in the send/return loop of the kemper. It sounds still much better than without the profile, but there are better results using the AURA (if you want in the send/return)
