Need your opinions about acoustic guitar through Kemper for studio recording.

  • Thanks a lot Andy_T-V :) There is also a way to do the same with your instrument even if you don't have the tonedexter. You just need a DAW and a Tonematcheq, preferably izotope ozone and a interface. Let me know if you want to do that :)

  • Here are some thoughts i have about it:

    1.Mic

Personally i think a good mic is the best way to record a acoustic guitar. I absolutely fell in love with the Blue Hummingbird mics i would take them over anything else at the moment and their price is decent. I compared them to neumann tlm 193 and more so yeah.

I always use a x/y pair of them.

    2. Room

if you don't have a good room get two clearsonic sorber walls, they are amazing.

If you don't have the money for it :

-Get as close as possible ! It is not the most pleasing sound but since the source sound is then way louder then the room,

the room will not be as destructive to your sound.

    - use mic stands all around you and put all clothes on it you have ... it looks silly but it works

    3. D.I. Signal

there are amazing acoustic guitars soloed on youtube just tonematch these sounds to you d.i. track that saves you a lot of time.
