Main outs at 48khz?

  • Hey all, when I go to listen on phones via my Apollo I have to change the Apollo from 44.1 to 48khz. I’m not going via spdif, just the main Kemper stereo outs. Do I still have to change the Kemper sample rate if I want 44.1? I thought it was just for digital.

  • Disconnect the Kemper from the Apollo completely.

Plug a mic into the Apollo and do what you I’ve to do so that you are hearing yourself speaking into the mic through your phones.

Now yank the XLR out of the back of the mic and plug it into the Kemper Main Out.

    You’ll hear the Kemper.

Because the mic and the Kemper are both just analogue signals.

The Kemper has no way to ‘know’ the sample rate farther downstream anymor than it would ‘know’ what tapespeed you were recording.

  • D'oh I'm an idiot. I'm coming out of the Kemper analog mains but I'm going into ADAT ins on my Konnekt48 that I use as extra ADAT i/o for my Apollo. Of course my Konnekt was set to 48 because of a previous project. SMH. X/ Reset to 44.1 and now good. Man this bad short term memory thing is grating on me...Thanks for all the help.
